STARLIGHT is pleased to offer dance lessons in our New Jersey studio for one of the most popular social dances across the globe. Our Salsa dancing lessons work on the basis of Mambo – a pattern of six steps danced over eight counts of music.

Mambo is the dance that came to popular attention in the 40s, as Americans became fascinated with the exciting rhythms emanating from Latin countries, such as Cuba. For the mood of Mambo, just think Havana in its heyday, and the famous Palladium dancers of NYC in the 40s, 50s and 60s.

Salsa dance lessons, taught at our dance studio in New Jersey, offer a great opportunity to students to really familiarize themselves with the rhythm of the music, and learn how to move creatively, or "play" with steps within the rhythms.

SALSA / MAMBO LESSONS

Starting at Beginner 1 you will work your way up to Advanced 3. We will teach you all the basic patterns to advanced choreography. Learn how to lead and follow your partner and how to play with the music.

Workshops are available to improve your technique, style and choreography.

This dance is exciting, young and very dynamic. At the same time it is sexy and playful. You don’t need a partner to join our Group courses.

NOCHE CALIENTE

Dance the night away to the hot Latin rhythms of Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Rumba and Cumbia…

Join a 1 Hour Workshop in Salsa/Mambo "on 2" followed by a Latin dance party. We will even play a couple of Ballroom dances so all our students can enjoy and practice steps they learned in our classes.

2 D.J.s will be spinning the music for more variety and more fun. Dance to Authentic Latin Music. All our Social Dances are open to the public. So bring your friends, a bottle of wine, relax, and enjoy.
